Wifi Think Penguin USB y Debian 9 no funcionarán

Recientemente, adquirí un nuevo escritorio y compré un adaptador inalámbrico usb para usar internet inalámbrico. He decidido elegir este model ya que he tenido problemas con la mayoría de mis tarjetas wifi en el pasado debido a controlleres propietarios. Excitado de tener Internet "fuera de la caja", no he tenido éxito aún para que funcione

He navegado por Internet durante un time y he probado las siguientes opciones sin éxito.

  • Instalado firmware-atheros
  • Intenté conectar el adaptador en diferentes ranuras usb (nunca se sabe …)
  • Encendí una vela esta mañana …

Para usar Debian 7 (Wheezy) o Debian 8 (Jessie) o Debian 9 (Stretch) con los adaptadores, haga lo siguiente: No necesita actualizar su núcleo simplemente copie el firmware en su /lib/firmware

Como raíz:

 cd /lib/firmware wget https://www.thinkpenguin.com/files/ath9k_firmware_free-version/htc_9271.fw wget https://www.thinkpenguin.com/files/ath9k_firmware_free-version/htc_7010.fw reboot 

También tenga en count : si está en Debian 9 (Stretch) y ve una list de puntos de acceso, pero no se puede conectar, intente esto:

 sudo nano /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf 

Agregue la siguiente línea:

 [device] wifi.scan-rand-mac-address=0 

A continuación, reinicie el administrador de networking:

 sudo service network-manager restart
